A K-4 resurfacing in Rush County is expected to start around Tuesday, July 23.

The Kansas Department of Transportation project involves a scrub seal. The project will be on K-4 from the Ness/Rush county line to the U.S. 183 junction in La Crosse. The length is 21.5 miles.

The work is expected to be completed around early August.

During the work, traffic will be controlled by a pilot car and flaggers. Motorists should be prepared to slow down and stop and face delays of up to 15 minutes.

Heft & Sons, of Greensburg, is the primary contractor for the $1,149,603 project.
