Kansas Gas Service to install automatic meter reading devices on meters in Great Bend and Larned
gbtribune news

OVERLAND PARK — Kansas Gas Service will install electronic meter reading devices on residential meters in Great Bend and Larned beginning Tuesday, May 15.
To complete the installation, a technician will need access to customers’ natural gas meters. The installation takes a few minutes to complete and is not expected to result in any disruption of service to our customers. Customers should be aware that they may see a technician entering their yards to complete this installation.
When the contractor comes to a house and if a pet is in the backyard, they will leave a door hanger. The door hanger will have contact telephone number to call and then they will schedule a time to do the work and allow the individual to make arrangements for their pet.
Itron is the contractor assisting Kansas Gas Service on this project. The contractors performing the work will carry photo identification badges that identify them as a contract worker for Kansas Gas Service.
This project is expected to be completed in approximately three to four months, weather permitting. No interruption to traffic is anticipated.
