Parents, grandparents, and children line up in their designated areas and wait for the Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt to begin Saturday, April 8, at Veterans Memorial Park.

The annual Kiwanis Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday, April 8, at the Kiwanis Walking Track on the north side of Veterans Memorial Park. This free event began promptly at 9:30 a.m. sharp and lasted approximately five minutes.

The Easter Egg Hunt separated the children into age categories ranging from preschool to sixth grade.

Each child raced onto the field at exactly 9:30 a.m. and picked up scattered eggs and pieces of candy. In each age group there were two hidden pink pieces of paper that were vouchers for a larger prize. These larger prizes included stuffed bunnies and gift cards.

The Easter Bunny was a special guest at the event and children were lining up to take pictures with the Bunny before the hunt began.
