Come be creative at the Kansas Wetlands Education Center on select Fridays in July. The KWEC will offer a free, come-and-go nature crafts with a new theme on each of the dates.

The programs are recommended for ages 5-13. Participants will learn about the topic and then complete a project to take home.

While one is at the center, they can check out the interactive exhibit hall, the classroom of animal ambassadors, and watch the 16-minute video about Cheyenne Bottoms.

All dates are come-and-go from 1-4 p.m. They include:

• July 15 - construct and paint a window bird feeder

• July 22 - create a clay dish with a leaf

• July 29 - design insect prints
