PAWNEE COUNTY – A Larned man died in a one-vehicle crash at around 3:30 p.m. Friday northwest of Larned in Pawnee County, the Kansas Highway Patrol reported.

According to the KHP, Kent A. Kirkwood, 63, was northbound on 150th Road three miles west and five miles north of Larned when his 2003 Chevy Malibu veered left of center and struck a concrete bridge railing.

Kirkwood was transported to Pawnee Valley Community Hospital where he died. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was wearing his seatbelt, The KHP reported.
