LARNED — Saturday morning, despite wind and a slight drizzle, the community of Larned turned out to observe the annual Larned Christmas Parade and welcome the holiday season.  Grand Marshall of the parade, Larry Carr, waved to the crowd and parade announcers Logan DeMond and Robert Rein from his car, followed by a host of floats and parade animals who shook hands with children along the parade route. The first place winner of the float contest went to the officers of the Larned Correctional Mental Health Facility who locked up famous Dr. Seuss character The Grinch who stole Christmas.
