Are you a community group or organization that needs a meeting space for an event? The Great Bend Public Library may be able to help. The library offers several spaces that may be used by community organizations and individuals for various kinds of community events or classes. 

The lower level (basement) of the library building has two meeting spaces: a large and a small room. The large meeting room can house up to 75 persons with tables and chairs, or 150 with chairs only. The smaller room (also called the “classroom”) can hold up to twenty people with tables and chairs. The large room also contains a projector and screen, microphones, and a sound system. If you wish to use a lower-level meeting room, you will need to submit a room reservation request on the library website.

If you are looking for some smaller areas for your group to meet, there is a collection of rooms that include several study areas and a conference table. These rooms may be used without reservations (as walk-ins), but you may also reserve a room if you want to make sure it is free for you. 

To submit a room reservation request, visit the library’s website (greatbendpl.info) and click on “Meeting Rooms” under the “Services” drop-down menu. From here, you will be able to access the newly updated room reservation form. The new form makes submitting a room reservation request easier and more straightforward than ever! A library staff member will review your request and notify you if your requested date and time is available. Because of staff limitations and increased usage of the basement rooms, we are no longer able to offer room setups; however, we have also stopped collecting a flat fee and room deposit. The room reservation form answers many questions as you fill it out, but if you have any further questions about room reservations, please contact the library.
