Lincoln School boiler on school board agenda

The Great Bend USD 428 Board of Education will be asked to approve a boiler conversion proposal for Lincoln Elementary School when it meets at 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 13, at the District Education Center, 201 South Patton Road.

The proposal starts with the removal of the 24-year-old boiler system and continues with the purchase of four rooftop units for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning.

The board will also be asked to approve new elective courses for the middle school.

Other items on the agenda are a continuation of discussions on fleet management and district goals; approval of membership in the PCA Purchasing Cooperative; and approval to release bid specifications for wrestling mat bids.

There will be reports on testing data, the next curriculum adoption, the Kansas Legislature, USD 428 Foundation mini-grants, district projects, the Perfect Attendance Bicycle Program, Parent-Teacher Conference dates and other upcoming dates, grants and contribution, personnel, and finances.
