Heartland Cancer Center of Great Bend, along with oncologists, Dr. Claudia Perez-Tamayo, Dr. Thomas John Hegarty, Dr. Mark Fesen and Dr. Greg Nanney, will host the national event, Shine a Light on Lung Cancer, to acknowledge lung cancer patients, survivors and passed loved ones. The event will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. on Nov. 2, in the lobby of Heartland Cancer Center, 204 Cleveland Street in Great Bend. Attendees will hear from Oncology specialists, lung cancer survivors and have the opportunity to reflect on the impact lung cancer has made in their lives. In addition, there will be light refreshments, music and paintings on display courtesy of Lilly Oncology.
Shine a Light on Lung Cancer is part of a National initiative put on by the Lung Cancer Alliance, with the hope to create community awareness and togetherness for individuals impacted by lung cancer. For more information, visit www.lungcanceralliance.org.
