Quilters meet

LARNED — The Quilting Bee Guild met for a potluck and Christmas gift exchange Tuesday in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church.
Following a welcome from the president Colleen Wolf, Diann Morell led the group in prayer.
Following wassail and snacks, the meal was served amidst a room with holiday decorations.
A card was signed for Ann Hicks.
Announcements included the taking of a meal to the Hicks family, two prayer quilts made this month and the quilt show at BCCC in the art gallery through the early part of December.
Members enjoyed the annual gift exchange which included notions, fabric and hand-made items.  There will not be the second regular guild meeting in December.
The next regular meeting is scheduled at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7 at the church.
Members need to bring fat quarters and dues for 2014.  Guests are welcome. For information, call the church at 620-285-6033.
