Welcome Inn board meets
LARNED — The regular monthly meeting of the Welcome Inn Leisure Center Inc. was called to order Aug. 6 at 12:35 p.m.
The following board members were present — Charles Wonsetler, president; Jim Forrest, treasurer; Betty Tauscher, secretary; Ben Appel, vice-president; Pat Birzer, historian and Roger Haberman, reporter.
Martha Appel, Elaine Appel, Judy Morris, Amy Bauer, Mona Marie Wysong and Bryon Stilts were guests.
Jim Forrest gave the treasurer’s report. All bills were allowed.
The Chamber of Commerce Coffee was scheduled Aug. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Welcome Inn.
The free yoga classes will end the last of August.
Positions up for election in October are that of president; vice-president; financial secretary and reporter.
The next carry-in dinner is scheduled for Aug. 10 with Judy Morris and Tina hosting.
The carry-in dinner held on July 13 was hosted by Valeta Milhon and Roger Haberman. There were 26 present, and, as usual, a lot of food, much visiting and some lying going on!
The meeting adjourned at 1:30 p.m. The Welcome Inn Board will meet Sept. 3, at 12:45 p.m.
Lab day scheduled
LARNED — Appointments are now being scheduled for the next Pawnee County Health Department lab day scheduled Friday, Aug. 22. Call 620-285-6963 or 800-211-4401 to schedule your appointment.
The clinic starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. You need to fast 12 hours before your lab work is scheduled. The Pawnee County Health Department is located at the Pawnee County Courthouse, 715 Broadway.
Choices are Profile which includes Complete Metabolic Profile (CMP), Lipid Panel, TSH and Hemagram (Complete Blood Count), $30; Individual tests, CMP, $15; Lipid Panel, $10; TSH, $8; Hemagram. $10; Free T4, $8; PSA, $15; and HgbA1C, $8.
T he Pawnee County Health Department offers this service in cooperation with Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. The lab day is private pay and no health insurance is billed.
