Supply drive continues

LARNED — A local school supply drive for youngsters and families sponsored by Edward Jones Investments, 506 Broadway, will continue through Aug. 17.
Any school-related item can be donated from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Edward Jones. All school supplies are provided for Fort Larned USD 495 students.

Walmart donates $500

LARNED — Thanks to a $500 donation from Walmart, the Larned Community Garden has purchased new mulch that prevents weeds. Volunteers have laid the mulch. For information about the Larned Community Garden, contact Pawnee County Extension, 620-285-6901.

Methodist women set sale

LARNED — The United Methodist Budget Shop will sponsor a half-price sale on items through Aug. 22 at 701 Main St.
