Thursday, June 9 — First State Bank and Trust will celebrate its 115th anniversary with a customer appreciation hamburger feed from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the north side of the bank. The Dixie Land Band will perform.
• The Larned Area Chamber of Commerce and Pawnee County Economic Development Commission banquet starts at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Larned Community Center. Dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m. The program and entertainment starts at 7:30 p.m.
• Vincent Scott Dorsey, Veterans service representative will be in Larned at the Veterans of Foreign War Building from 10 a.m. to noon and at the Larned State Hospital in the Reimbursement Office from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. to assist veterans, their dependents or survivors with questions concerning veterans benefits.
Saturday, June 11 — The Pawnee County 4-H horse project members will sponsor an invitational horse show Saturday at the Pawnee County Fair grounds. Check in at 8:30 a.m. with start time at 9:00 a.m. Classes are for all ages - youth through adult. For information, call Erin Josefiak, (620) 923-6302.
• Friends of Jeslyn Woods will sponsor a fundraiser to offset medical expenses from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Delicious Creations, 418 Broadway. A bake sale, silent auction, and vendor booths will be set up. A medical expense fund has been set up at Farmers Bank and Trust, 102 W. 6th Street in Larned.
