Bedding sale Friday

LARNED — The horticultural therapy workshop at Larned State Hospital will start a five-week bedding plant sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday at the LSH greenhouse.  Annual and perennial flowers, vegetable transplants, hanging baskets, garden decorations will be available. The sale will continue on Fridays in May.

Ducks Unlimited event
scheduled Saturday

LARNED — The Pawnee County Ducks Unlimited banquet is scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus on Scenic Drive. Social hour starts at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will start at 7 p.m. with a live auction at 8 p.m. For information, call Ritz Kurtz 620-285-7125.

Lab day Friday

LARNED — The monthly Pawnee County Health Department’s lab days starts at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10 a.m. Friday at the 1st floor of the Pawnee County Courthouse, 715 Broadway.
Profile which includes Comprehensive Metabolic Panel, Lipid Panel, TSH and Hemagram, $30. Individual tests include CMP, $15; Lipid Panel, $10; TSH, $8, Hemagram, $10; Free T4, $8; Prostate specific antigen, $15; and HgbA1C, $8.
The health department offers the service in conjunction with Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. No insurance is billed and clients are responsible for following up on any abnormal results with their private medical provider.

LARNED — The Pawnee County commission will meet at 9 a.m. Monday at the Pawnee County Courthouse.
Agenda items include:
9 a.m. — Jake Renner, natural resources ag agent; Donna Preisner, family and consumer science ag agent.
10 a.m. — Denise Wood, Community Corrections/Juvenile Justice Authority, quarterly reports.
11 a.m. — Tina Keeler, appraiser’s office, credit card application.
1:30 p.m. — Kurt Demel, Pawnee County highway administrator, projects, updates.

Relay for Life
will meet Monday

LARNED — The Pawnee County committee for Relay for Life will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the First State Bank and Trust, 116 W. 6th. Anyone interested in Edwards, Stafford or Pawnee County is invited.
