Endowment to sponsor sale
LARNED — The Larned State Hospital Endowment Association will sponsor an “Everything $6” fundraising jewelry and accessories sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26. The sale, open to the surrounding community, is scheduled at the LSH auditorium near the center of the LSH grounds. Proceeds benefit the LSH Endowment Association, which assists with enhancing patient care at Larned State Hospital.
Most items with the exception of specially priced show specials, will sell for $6. The sale is sponsored with the cooperation of “B & N Jewelry,” a Kansas company.

Rozel social is Sunday
ROZEL — The Rozeel Ice Cream Social is scheduled at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25 at the Rozel City Park on Main Street.
Specially-collected items will be stores in a time capsule following the ice cream social. Everyone is welcome.
Feed specialist to talk
LARNED — A informative meeting geared for farmers and ranchers is scheduled at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27 at the J. A. Haas Exhibit Building, 400 E. 18th Street for anyone interested in what to do with high nitrate feeds, what works and what does not.
There is a lot of feedstuffs that are testing high in nitrates this year, so how will you be able to use this feed, still balance your rations, and stay cost effective?
Come to learn the latest information from K-State Extension specialist Justin Waggoner, Beef Systems Specialist, Garden City. He will explore the options and answers your questions. Ranchers, landowners, farmers and anyone interested in finding ways to get their animals through this tough time should find this meeting educational. It is open to the public and anyone interested is invited to attend.There is no cost to attend this meeting.
