Benefit scheduled Friday

LARNED — A benefit dinner to help a paraprofessional at Phinney Elementary School is scheduled from 5 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Larned Middle School.
The benefit will help with medical expenses for Abby Trapp Prescott, who was diagnosed with kidney cancer in July, 2011. Abby has undergone two surgeries and is being treated at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
The free-will offering will serve Sloppy Joe’s, chips, beans and desserts at the Larned Middle School. A silent auction will feature donated items.

Rozel dinner Wednesday

ROZEL — The Rozel FCE and the city of Rozel will sponsor a community dinner in the Rozel Community Building Wednesday. Fellowship and cards start at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at 12:15. Guests should bring a covered dish and your own table service. The refreshments will be provided.
Pam Taylor from Pride will be sharing information about the playground equipment project.

Sausage supper Thursday

LARNED — The Larned Knights of Columbus will sponsor its 43rd annual Sausage Supper from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Scenic Drive in Larned.
