Red Wheel pickup Wednesday

LARNED — Pick-up of orders of Red Wheel products sold by Pawnee County 4-H members will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the J.A. Haas Exhibit Building in Larned. A few extra items may be purchased at the pick-up point if you failed to order.

Burdett Taco Night set

BURDETT — The Burdett Uunited Methodist Church will sponsor a taco night starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Education Building, 502 Elm Street.
Tacos, nachos, desserts and beverages will be served for a free will donation. Everyone is welcome to attend and enjoy good food and fellowship.

Health department advisory

LARNED — The Pawnee County Health Department will offer limited services Thursday when some of the health department staff and all the nurses attend a public health preparedness training and exercise. Nursing services will not be available. Full services will resume Friday.

Quilt program Thursday

LARNED — The final event celebrating National Quilting Month is scheduled at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Jordaan Library in Larned. Ann Hicks will present “Half Square Triangles and Flying Geese.”
The demonstration will include samples and a handout of directions. Call 285-1056 for information.

Carr open house Friday

LARNED — Carr Auto-Electric, 812 Broadway, will celebrating its 42nd anniversary with an open house Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. A sales representative from Grasshopper mowers will be on hand during the open house. Refreshments will be served.

Easter Egg hunt Saturday

LARNED — The First State Bank’s Young Savers’ Club Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Please meet north of the bank.
