Hunter’s Breakfast Saturday

LARNED — A special Hunter’s Breakfast is scheduled from 6 a.m. until the food  is gone Saturday at the Escue Chapel, 1220 Carroll. The public is welcome.

Rozel to sponsor breakfast

ROZEL — The Rozel Lions Club will sponsor its annual Hunter’s Breakfast from 6 to 9 a.m. Saturday at the Rozel Community Building. The menu will include sausage and pancakes, biscuits and gravy, French toast and drinks.

Quilting sale Saturday

LARNED — The sixth annual Quilting Diva Sale is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the fellowship hall of the First Presbyterian Church, 8th and Morris, Larned (parking in rear of church).
Hand made items include wall hangings, table toppers and runners, small quilts, aprons, ornaments and other gifts will be available. The Opportunity Quilt, constructed by members of the local quilting guild, will be awarded at 3 p.m. Proceeds will be used for materials for the prayer quilt ministry which is sponsored by the church. Refreshments will be served.

Legion schedules events

LARNED — The Larned American Legion Post 106 will start a busy weekend with a mountain oyster fish fry starting at 5 p.m. Friday at the post home, 115 E. 7th.
Four special events are scheduled Saturday that will help celebrate Veterans Day. A hunter’s breakfast will kick off festivities from 4:30 to 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
The Legion Post will sponsor a Veterans Day Parade Saturday. Entrants will meet at 10:30 a.m. in front of Dwight Shank Motors, 124 Broadway, and the parade will begin at 11 a.m. and proceed north on Broadway.
The post will sponsor a free breakfast for veterans and their spouses from 7 to 9 a.m. Saturday.
The Legion Auxiliary will sponsor its annual Veterans’ Day luncheon, which is open to the public, from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday. Chili, soups and sandwiches will be served. A fee will be charged for the luncheon.  For information, call 620-285-6146.
