LARNED — Jim Forrest and Judy Jennings will be honored for coordinating the Larned Junior City Council during Monday’s Larned city council meeting that starts at 6:30 p.m.
Items on the agenda include Water Utility Water Quality Report, Bid for Tree Trimming Services for Electric Utility, Request to Replace Electric Utility Distribution Superintendent Pickup, Tax Rebate Program and Larned Dream Homes Affordable Housing Project.
Other items to consider are Special Events Beer License for Larned Chamber of Commerce, Santa Fe Trail Days Request to Close Broadway on April 30, Larned Police Department Social Media Policy, Free Pool Pass Program, Renewal of Lease for Larned Town Group, Flood Levy Inspection, Request to Reduce Size of ADA Committee and ESPY Telecom Audit Service.
City manager Don Gaeddert will present a report. Past city council board minutes and appropriation ordinance No. 3 will be reviewed. Under old business, items of discussion are a contract for recycling services at Larned State Hospital and interconnect upgrade project-interconnection agreement.

Pawnee County commission
LARNED — The Pawnee County commission will interview a prospective banking firm interested in underwriting the cost of a proposed $18 million Pawnee Valley Community Hospital. The interview with John Harris, vice president for Country Club Bank, Kansas City, Mo., will start at 11 a.m. Monday at the second floor of the county courthouse. The commission will discuss prospective financing of the Public Building Commission bonds.
At 1:30 p.m., Denise Wood, Pawnee County Community Corrections/Juvenile Justice Authority director, will discus the 2012 budget.

Larned State Hospital fundraiser
LARNED — The Larned State Hospital Endowment Association will sponsor an Everything $6 fundraising jewelry and accessories sale from 10 a.m,. to 5 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday.
Most items sell for $6. The sale is scheduled at the LSH Auditorium located near the center of the Larned State Hospital grounds. Proceeds benefit the LSH Endowment Association, which enhances patient care at Larned State Hospital.
