Sleep clinic set Thursday night at Pawnee Valley

LARNED — Pawnee Valley’s Sleep and Diagnostic Center will sponsor a sleep apnea awareness clinic from 5-6 p.m. Thursday at the St. Joseph Conference Room at Pawnee Valley Com­munity Hospital.  
Attendees are asked to bring their equipment, download their data card and bring the report to the meeting.  Sleep apnea patients, families and friends are welcome.

Diabetes supporters will meet Thursday evening

LARNED — Kevyn Soupiset of Progressive Therapy and Sports Medicine will speak on physical activities and diabetes during the diabetes support group meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Welcome Inn Senior Center, 113 W. 4th Street.
 
Valentine’s Day sale set Thursday, Friday

LARNED — The horticulture therapy workshop at the Larned State Hospital will sponsor a Valentine’s Day balloon and plant sale from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the LSH Greenhouse. Balloon arrangements will be available along with reduced prices on foliage plants.  

Conservation district annual event Saturday

LARNED — Pawnee County’s best conservationists will be recognized with Kansas Banker’s Conservation Awards Saturday night at the Haas Building.
The annual Pawnee County Conservation meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.  Poster and speech winners will be recognized. Two supervisors will be elected to the Pawnee County Conservation board.

Burdett Auxiliary’s supper scheduled for Saturday

BURDETT — The Burdett American Legion Auxiliary will sponsor a crock pot soup supper from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday.  
Featured soups include broccoli cheese, Mexican chicken and corn, green bean dump­ling, beef and vegetable, broasted chicken, bacon corn chowder, cheesy potato, chicken and noodles, ham and beans, and chili.  Desserts and drinks will be served. Free-will offferings are accepted.

Knights of Columbus site
of Banes’ benefit Sunday

LARNED — The Pawnee County co-op along with local farm­ers will sponsor a benefit dinner for Robert Banes from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Knights of Columbus, 1216 M Road. Banes is a employee at the Garfield location.
The menu includes hamburgers, French fries, beans and drinks.  There will also be drawings for many very nice donated items.  For more information, call 620-285-6919.
