LARNED — The Santa Fe Trail Center will present from “Trails to War,” a program by Ron Smith, attorney and well known local historian and author of Thomas Ewing Jr., Frontier Lawyer and Civil War General.
Smith will explore the affect of the Civil War on the Santa Fe Trail and western commerce. Many exciting events in American history occurred during the 60 years of wagon travel on the Santa Fe Trail.
The program will be held in the Trail Center’s auditorium at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20. Admission to this program and all third Sunday of the month programs is half price: Adults $2, Students ages 12 to 18, $1.50, Children ages 6 to 11, 75 cents; Fort Larned Historical Society members are free.
