Due to cooling issues at the Crest Theater, the location for Barton  County Commission's  National Interest Electric Transmission Corridor town hall meeting beginning at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 20,  has been relocated to the Great Bend Events Center, 3111 10th St., Great Bend. The location has changed from previous announcements.

This open forum meeting is planned as a way for local governmental agencies, as well as the public, to discuss the designation process, route boundaries and coordinated response efforts. A question listing is being developed; email questions to dwatson@bartoncounty.org. Questions will not be answered at this time, but will be compiled for future use.
