The Model Association of Central Kansas invites the public to an afternoon of model airplane demonstrations and opportunities for hands-on learning. Members will be at the MACK flying field, located at the corner of Railroad Avenue and U.S. 56 in Great Bend, at 1:30 p.m. today.

Those in attendance will have the chance to learn first-hand how to fly a model airplane using "buddy box" technology. These radio control devices can be operated by the student and the teacher simultaneously, allowing for risk-free learning. Model airplanes will be provided by club members, and the event is free to attend.
