The City of Great Bend Public Works Department will begin mosquitoes fogging this week, said Street Superintendent Tony Bronson. The fogging will start at 8 p.m. until midnight, weather permitting, staring this Thursday.  

The fogging will continue on Thursday nights through the end of the month and into July on July 6 and 13, he said. They will monitor conditions continually to make their determinations.

The public is encouraged to take precautions to limit exposure to themselves, especially those with medical issues, and pets. Residents are advised to keep their doors and windows closed during this time.
