Randy Myers

Randy Myers has announced his candidacy for the Fourth Ward Great Bend City Council seat.
“I have served the people of the fourth ward for many years now and I believe that I have served the interests of my constituents well,” he said. “Many of you know me and you know that I will continue to represent you fairly and that I answer your calls and I address your concerns. I want to apologize for not getting signed up to run this time and I ask you to support me as a write in vote. I am the assistant manager of the new Great Bend Ace Hardware store and we have been working long hours and a lot of seven day weeks to be the best we can be. I was absorbed with this and I let the signup deadline pass me by and again I apologize for not getting signed up. It didn’t help that I was not reminded by anyone at the city of the approaching deadline but again my mistake. I was born and raised in Great Bend in the fourth ward and I have lived here all but five years of my life so I understand the community and the people who make this our home. Honestly we are making headway on a number of issues now and I would love to continue to be your representative on the city council.   As you know I have opposition this time and she will be on the ballot and I will not so I really need you to write in my name on the ballot if you want me to continue to represent you fairly and honestly. I was married to my wife Charlotte here in Great Bend and we raised our two sons Nathan and Travis here. I will need to put signs out to remind everyone that I am running as a write in vote this time so please call me if you would like a sign. My number is 620-786-1351. I have really enjoyed being your representative these past years and I am looking forward to continuing to represent you in the future. As you know my door is always open and you can contact me anytime and I will listen to you and address your concerns. Please write in Randy Myers on the ballot for Fourth Ward City Council and I will look forward to serving you again.”
