NAMI announces Mental Health Awareness Day, changes fundraiser date

The Great Bend chapter of NAMI, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, has changed the date of its upcoming fundraiser to 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Elks Lodge, 1120 Kansas Ave. It will be a bake sale. The group will not offer walking tacos as previously announced.
Thursday, the date originally set for the fundraiser, is Mental Health Awareness Day. It will be observed from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 28, at the Center for Counseling, 5815 Broadway Ave. There will be information and games, and food and refreshments will be served to raise public mental health awareness.
