Nature educator explains animal sounds

Jean Aycock from the Kansas Wetlands Education Center will explain the meanings of some animal sounds during a free Stop N’ Learn program hosted by the Great Bend Recreation Commission.
“Chit Chat In The Wild” will be offered from noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the Great Bend Activity Center, 2715 18th St. It will also be offered at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 28, at the Senior Center, 2005 Kansas Ave.
What are animals really saying with all the strange and wonderful sounds they make? From beautiful bird songs to scary growls, learn all about animal sounds and communication during KWEC Educator Aycock’s program.
