New GBPD officers graduate from training
GB police patch

Great Bend Police Chief David Bailey announced the Friday graduation of three officers from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center near Hutchinson. These officers have just completed 14 weeks of law enforcement training at KLETC and are now certified police officers in the State of Kansas.

The three officers are Matthew Barker, Malik Moon and Craig Ramsey. They will now be assigned to a patrol shift to complete their training at GBPD, Bailey said.

Upon completion of this training, these officers will then be assigned to the Patrol Division. The GBPD provides 13 weeks of training in addition to the 14 weeks of training at KLETC.

Bailey said the department is still has one officer opening.

Anyone interested in joining the GBPD is asked to submit an application to the City of Great Bend Human Resources Director Randy Keasling. Applicant testing is held the last Thursday of each month.
