Hoisington High School junior Corie Umphrey received word Thursday that he won the Scope Theseus contest. Scope is a student publication printed by Scholastic Classroom Magazines and distributed to students across the nation. Robbin Friedman, assistant editor at Scope, wrote, We loved your paragraph about why Theseus is a hero. You did a great job using examples from the play. Theseus was a king of Athens.
