ELLINWOOD — Ellinwood Emergency Medical Services Director Debbie Glenn has received the Kansas Emergency Medical Services Association Administrator of the Year.
Glenn received her award last Saturday at KEMSA’s awards banquet.
Glenn was nominated for this award by staff at Ellinwood EMS. She had letters of support from Claflin EMS as well.
“She was nominated for this award for her outstanding dedication as our only full time member as well an educator, and her willingness to always help where ever it is needed,” said staff members. “She is truly the glue that holds or organization together. Ellinwood EMS was honored to nominate Debbie Glenn for this award.”
Criteria for the award include outstanding patient care, education, team work and administration.
City Administrator Bob Peter said at Monday’s city council meeting that Glenn has had 30 years on the job as well as being on-call for 24 hours. She is the only full-time employee at the Ellinwood EMS.
