Strecker to present program at Butler Community College

Dr. Catherine Strecker of Ellinwood will be presenting a program called “Building Resiliency in Children” at Butler Community College, Child Start 1002 S. Oliver, from 9-11 a.m. on Oct. 5. The cost of the program is $15 if registered by Oct. 3. Cost at the door is $20.
Building resilience is the ability to adapt well to social changes, stress, tragedy and threats. Participants will learn the 10 ways for building resiliency in children and teens as well as learn how to identify and implement strategies known as the “seven C’s of resilience.”
Participants will receive two hours of Kansas Department of Health and Environment inservice credit.
