BAZINE — Jim Ball, world-famous sword swallower, will perform at 6 p.m. Saturday at the summer celebration known as the Bazine Picnic. At 86 years old, Ball says he’s the oldest active sword swallower in the world.
More than just a community picnic, there will be a co-ed softball tournament, a downtown parade at 10 a.m. and “Wheels in the Park” throughout the day. Free registration for the car show is from 9 a.m. until noon at the north edge of the park.
Following the parade, there will be a free barbecue lunch at the park. A short cruise with games at each stop will be held in the afternoon. Fun activities and great music will be going on in the park all day long.
