One arrested in drug bust

HOISINGTON — The Hoisington Police Department executed a search warrant at 10:42 a.m. on Monday at a residence in the 400 block of West Broadway. Krystle Bartonek, 22, was arrested on drug charges.
According to a statement from Hoisington Police Chief Kenton Doze, several pounds of suspected marijuana were located and seized along with a substantial amount of cash and paraphernalia. The marijuana was determined to have been brought in from Colorado.
Bartonek was booked into Barton County Jail on charges of unlawful cultivation or distribution of a controlled substance greater than 450 grams (about 1 pound) and less than 30 kilograms (66 pounds), unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, interference with law enforcement and not having a tax stamp for the marijuana. Her bond was set at $100,000. The investigation is ongoing.
