LARNED — It’s that time again, your dog’s most anticipated day of the summer – the Dogs Days of Summer Swim.
The Pawnee County Humane Society invites you to let your furry friend take a dip in the pool or a dive off of the diving board at the 9th Annual Dog Swim scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Larned swimming pool in Schnack Park.
It is the one day of the year when your dog is welcome to fetch, dog paddle and frolic in the pool.
“So grab your pup and floating toys and come join us on Sunday,” said Terri Barton, Pawnee County Humane Society volunteer. “All proceeds of the swim will benefit the Pawnee County Humane Society.”  
There is a $5 fee for each dog, but humans are admitted free.
For the safety of dogs and humans, participating dogs are required to have current vaccinations and must get along well with people and other pooches. Dogs should be on a leash when not in the pool.
