LARNED — Returning Class 3A state softball qualifier Haven rolled past Larned 20-3 and 17-1 in a doubleheader Tuesday. The Indians (0-4, 0-4 CKL) play Halstead at home Friday.
HAVEN 20, LARNED 3 — Alexis Hoskinson and Katelynn Stucky led a 15-hit attack with three hits and three runs batted in. Jacy Ummel drove in two runs. Pitcher Bailey Brawner worked four innings and had two base hits. The Wildcats scored 18 runs in their final three at-bats for a run-rule victory.
Larnd’s Mattie Glover and Kelsey Parr drove in runs. Tymarra Bryant, Haley Skelton and Alea Makings each had a hit and a run scored. Ally Adrich had a hit and Glover scored a run.
HAVEN 17, LARNED 1 — Haven pounded Larned pitchers Mattie Glover and Tymarra Bryant for 17 hits in four innings. Jacy Ummel, Emmiley Hendrixson and Haley Harner each drove in three runs. Harner, Katelynn Stucky and Alexis Hendrixson each had three hits.
Baylea Perez singled and doubled and Maddie Erway’s single drove in Erin Smith. Aldrich delivered a base hit.
