The Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor "Craft Day" on Saturday, Dec. 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in downtown Larned. This year’s "Craft Day" promises to be bigger and better, and the community and area will enjoy the variety that the show will offer.
The event will again be located at 418 Broadway, and ought to be a wonderful way to jumpstart holiday shopping. The Christmas parade will also be a major event in Larned that day along with the Craft Day.
"We are so excited," remarked Gloria Youngdahl, co-chairperson of the event, "since the show is already filled with vendors. Some are new to the show, and heard about the good response last year."
"There will be two floors of vendors offering crafts and gifts. We have booked jewelry, candles, purses, food, Tupperware, and much much more. And don’t forget the Methodist Women who offer a "buy it by the pound" variety of Christmas cookies and candy!"
Laurie Seeman, co-chair added, "The Auxiliary will be offering a lunch menu for hungry shoppers. The booth will offer vegetable soup, chili, sloppy joes and pie. How can you beat that?"
The Auxiliary is also selling coupons for several quilts. The tickets are a dollar each or six for $5. The first drawing will be for a handmade queen-size quilt. The second will be for a handmade, full-size quilt, the third for a folding dessert carrier, and the fourth will be for a handmade Christmas throw. The drawing event will take place at 3 p.m. that day, Dec. 4.
Proceeds benefit the Auxiliary projects, which in turn benefit the PVC Hospital.
