Larned, Hoisington start Legion post-season play

ELLIS -- Larned and Hoisington are scheduled to start American Legion post-season baseball action Monday night at Ellis.

Ellis (10-8) meets Hoisington (1-18) at 6 p.m. followed by Larned (13-11) against Ulysses (11-18) at Ellis. Larned beat Russell in last year's Zone tournament and qualified for Class AA state.

The losers play Tuesday night and the winners will play the second game. The Zone winner qualifies for Class AA state at Colby next week.
