LARNED — Healing Hearts Ranch is ready to launch their new site in Pawnee County. The therapy horses and staff will be on site to meet visitors and perform horse demonstrations, so you can see a little of what they do. There will be hamburgers, hotdogs, and cake!
The grand opening is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23 at 174 K-19 East.
Healing Hearts Ranch is a non-profit organization that provides Equine Assisted Therapeutic Counseling services to a variety of individuals in the central Kansas area for 10 years. The ranch utilizes the EAGALA model of therapy over a 12 week period. In this time, breakthroughs often occur due to the relaxed atmosphere of the ranch and the interactions with the horses. This non-threatening approach offers an alternative to talk-therapy allowing the individual and/or family to experience healing on their own terms and pace with hands-on learning.
They now offer sessions in Larned, and Ellinwood and Great bend in Barton County.
