GOLF EVENT—Golfers will tee off to provide better healthcare in Pawnee County during Pawnee Valley Community Hospital Foundation’s Sixth Annual “Tee Off For Better Health” Benefit Golf Classic scheduled Sept. 27 at Larned Country Club.
Proceeds will be donated for the purchase of a new MRI at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital with the goal of paying off this vital piece of medical equipment by the end of this year.
The wide-bore short-tube 1.5 Tesla MRI is now available at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital, offering patients more service days while giving them a better experience during their scan. This in turn means better healthcare for PVCH patients and the communities that PVCH serves.
The 4-player scramble tournament is scheduled Sept. 27 at the Larned Country Club. Entries will be limited to 18 teams. The entry fee is $65 per person, which includes 18 holes of golf, a catered lunch and hole prizes. A 9 a.m. shotgun start will follow 8 a.m. registration.
The Larned High School girls golf team will sell a “Bag of Balls” starting at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 27 to use for practice on the driving range. The $3 “Bag of Balls” will be donated to the Larned High girls golf team.
For registration, call the PVCH Foundation, 620-285-8840; or email linda.henderson@haysmed.com.
