PAWNEE COUNTY — The Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office has received several complaints regarding a septic tank pumping and servicing business. This organization is called “Septic Tanks Pumped & Serviced” and is operated by Kelly Steele. He drives a late 90’s dark green Ford F-150 with a green tank on the back. The tank is not readily visible unless looking directly in the bed of the pickup.
“Steele will advertise he can clean out your tank at $1.15 to $1.50 a gallon and he will provide you a discount if he can dump the waste on your land, which is illegal,” a release from the Pawnee County Sheriff’s Office stated.
Steele has been given notification by the Attorney General’s office previously to cease operations for prohibited business practices. Kelly may have an older gentleman with him. It is best practice to review business’ accreditation on the Better Business Bureau website at www.bbb.org.
