The Prairie Godmothers group will hold its summer social event, the Build-A-Bag Beach Party, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Best Western Angus Inn Courtyard, 2920 10th St. This is a come-and-go event but there will be a program at 12:30 p.m. There will be free food and socializing for all who are members or interested in the group’s mission, “Women Helping Women.”
Attendees are invited to build gift bags that will be given to senior citizens in Barton County. To participate, bring the following items: stationary, nail care products, slip resistant socks and an insulated tumbler. Gift bags will be provided. Extra items that can be added to the bags for fun include shampoo, conditioner and body wash; deodorant; a hairbrush or comb; and body lotion.
