A crack-repair project on K-4 through Rush County will start soon.
The crack-seal project covers the almost 37 mile length of K-4 in Rush County, from Barton County on the east to Ness County on the west.
The work is tentatively scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 12, and is expected to be completed around May 26, depending on the weather.
During the work, traffic will be controlled by flaggers and a pilot car, so motorists should be prepared to stop and stay alert through the work zone.
The Kansas Department of Transportation is overseeing the project. Scodeller Construction Inc., with an office in St. Joseph, Mo., is the primary contractor for the $123,315 contract.
