Quilts of Valor October 2017
United States Army Vietnam veteran Miles Leroy Vonada was awarded with a Quilt of Valor from Golden Plains Quilts of Valor on Oct. 27, 2017, at the American Legion Post 180 in Great Bend. Vonada was a radar technician, serving in Vietnam. The quilt top was made by the Happy Stitchers Quilt Group; quilting by Amy Schartz Mellor.
