“Caring for Creation: Faith-Based Environmental Activism and the Challenges We Face,” will be the subject of a program offered at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Dominican Sisters Auditorium at 3600 Broadway Ave., Great Bend, and at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, at Glory Be, located at 7th and Broadway in Larned.
The speaker will be Rabbi Moti Rieber, director of Kansas Interfaith Power and Light, based in Lawrence.
Rabbi Rieber’s one-hour presentation will focus on the environmental challenges that face us and what we, as church members and citizens in Barton, Rush and Pawnee counties, can do to address these complicated and difficult issues. People from all backgrounds are invited to attend the presentation.
Kansas Interfaith Power and Light seeks to engage Christian churches and other faith communities in environmental stewardship and sustainable practices through the promotion of energy conservation, energy efficiency and renewable energy.
