The next opportunity to donate blood in Great Bend will be Monday, Sept. 14, at St. Rose Auditorium, 1412 Baker Ave. Donations will be accepted from 11:15 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.The American Red Cross urges eligible donors to give blood to help ensure a stable and diverse blood supply is available during emergencies of all types.Whether blood is needed for a chronic condition such as sickle cell disease, a surgical procedure or a large-scale emergency, it’s the blood already on the shelves that helps save lives.
