MACKSVILLE — The Eighth Annual Bikes & Blues Rally will be held Saturday and Sunday, May 6-7, at the City Park, 200 Block N. Spickard, in Macksville. Starting at noon Saturday there will be live music, motorcycle games with prizes, bike blessings and vendors/concessions available throughout the day.
“We are excited to have Big Mac Combo from Andover, Kansas, headlining our live music,” said rally organizer Don Overbey. “They have been here in Macksville numerous times, as well as at Music for the Soul at Bike Week in Sturgis, S.D., many times. You will be truly blessed!”
On Sunday there will be biscuits and gravy served at the Bus from 7:30-8:30 a.m. The worship service will be at 9 a.m. with Mike Benzel bringing the message at the City Park Band Shell.
A motorcycle is not required for attendance at this family friendly event, Overbey said. No alcohol or illegal substances are permitted. People are encouraged to bring a lawn chair. Free camping will be available in the park.
