Fifty-five students, along with priests and parishioners from the Diocese of Dodge City, traveled to Topeka on Wednesday to participate in a march and rally on the 42nd anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision.

During their visit, the group had the opportunity to visit with Rep. Basil Dannebohm  (R-Ellinwood) and tour the Capitol. Rep. Dannebohm later joined them for Mass with the Most Rev. John Brungardt, Bishop of Dodge City. The contingent came from several cities in the Diocese, including Dodge City, Great Bend, Liberal and Garden City.

Charlie Pleskac center, (pronounced Plus-scotch) has purchased the Great Bend Dairy Queen. The Nebraska native has made a career of DQ ownership.
Most everyone who was a kid in the 1960s and ‘70s remembers their first Jack & Jill sundae at Dairy Queen.
