Surrendered Family Ministries will host the eighth annual “Exalt the Name of Jesus” area-wide event at 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Crest Theater, 1905 Lakin Ave. in Great Bend.
Choir practices will be starting soon for the event and all area individuals between the ages of 13-113 that are interested in participating in the area-wide choir are invited to take part in by attending as many practices as possible, said Marcie Smith with Surrendered Family Ministries.
Children in grades 1-8 are invited to participate in the “Exalt the Name of Jesus” streamer team.
No experience is required and streamers will be available to purchase at the first practice if needed.
All practices will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Community Christian Church, located east of Barton County Community College at 253 NE 30 Road, Great Bend.  The two practice dates are Sunday, Sept. 9, and Sunday, Sept. 16. For more information contact Surrendered Family Ministries by calling 620-617-1132.
