Pawnee Rock Christian Church announces programs

PAWNEE ROCK — Pawnee Rock Christian Church, 523 Centre St., will have a weekend Vacation Bible School for children from preschool to fifth grade. The theme of the program is, “Shine God’s Light.” The program will run from 6:30-9 p.m. Friday, July 27, with more activities from 9:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 28.
All are welcome to the church’s regular Sunday Celebration at 10:30 a.m.
The church hosts a fellowship meal in the basement on the fourth Wednesday of each month, with desserts offered by the women of the church.

Tickets still available for SALT dinner

The youth group at First Assembly of God Church, known as the SALT Youth Group, will attend the Assemblies of God Fine Arts Festival in Louisville, Ky. To help raise funds for the trip, a dinner will take place at from 6-9 p.m. Monday, July 30, at Montana Mike’s restaurant, 906 McKinley St. Tickets are $12 and will be available until noon Monday.

Missions Conference Mexican food banquet reservations due

Faith Community Church will host the Central Kansas Missions Conference, Aug. 3-4. Faith Community Church is located one mile west of 10th and Patton, Great Bend, on West Barton County Road.
The event will begin with a Mexican food banquet at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, followed by praise and worship by the Roca Blanca Worship Team and a message from the Rev. Duane Kershner at 7:30 p.m. All services, including Friday evening worship, are open to the public without charge except for the banquet. Reservations for the $10 banquet are due July 30.

AME bishop here Sunday

Bishop T. Larry Kirkland Sr., 114th Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, will preach at Myers Chapel AME Church, 1511 Ninth St., at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 29. Members will have a lunch from 1:30-3:30 p.m. after the morning church service.
