Great Bend Middle School’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes held their annual “Oodles for Noodles” food drive recently with all proceeds going to the Barton County Community Food Bank.
Students participated by donating ramen noodles. The top two students were rewarded by being allowed to put a pie to the face of GBMS math coach Dr. Sherri Brantley and technology coach Darcy Leech. Adeline Dougherty donated 240 packages of noodles, Blake Suchy donated 230 packages and Jenna Dean donated 216 packages. The classroom with the most donations was Amber Lucchesi’s advisory class with 536 items. As a whole, GBMS donated 1,652 items to the food bank.
The FCA is sponsored by Renee Buntain and meets every Friday from 7:30-8 a.m. and all students are welcome to attend.
